The Best of Tasmania - via the slow road

This tour is not all about the bike, but rather the whole travel experience. Welcome to the Slow Tassie Sightseer!

Tasmania is a spectacular place with lots to see and plenty to explore. Our usual road bike tours here cover a lot of ground to experience the many sights and sounds. This time it’s different. This tour is not about km’s or time in the saddle. The Slow Tassie Sightseer is for the casual cyclist (lycra optional). Our focus is purely on the best parts of the island to ride, to visit, to experience. We’ll take time to explore the nooks and crannies, delve deeper into locations, and have more time to enjoy the attractions off the bike. Immerse yourself in National Parks, visit oyster and salmon farms, relax at a winery, ferry to a remote island, discover the history of Port Arthur, MONA – it’s all here. And of course, the most wonderful, invigorating cycling on select Tassie backroads, country lanes and trails, with serenity and a distinct lack of traffic.

So make cycling an excuse, not a reason, on the Slow Tassie Sightseer.
