AllTrails is excited to announce a new version of an old ride taking in the classic colonial towns of Victoria.
Be prepared for some outstanding colonial architecture, impressively preserved historic buildings and fascinating history…and you haven’t even mounted your trusty velocipede yet! On the bike you’ll find beautiful cycling routes, expansive rural scenery and world class support from the AllTrails crew. Every second day is a well-designed loop ride circuit allowing you to explore more of our overnight stops and surrounding areas along the Murray River and the beautiful High Country. The tour has an average distance of 70km/day with every second day an optional rest day for those who want to take it easier, and longer routes closer to 100km for those who are looking for a bigger challenge.

Who’s this tour for? Cyclists who love country hospitality and enjoy cycling on quiet rural roads. This tour is a mid-range distance challenge on the bike, with lots of interesting things to explore off the bike. Those with an interest in history and Colonial architecture will love it, but knowledge or appreciation of those things is by no means a pre-requisite. The towns, buildings and stories are easily appreciated by anyone and everyone.

This tour is designed as a week away to explore historic streetscapes and marvel at some of Australia’s most interesting colonial architecture while enjoying the rural town hospitality; tasting local produce and perhaps a wine or two. Victoria's fertile plains along the Murray River that lead to the gum tree-laden high country offers world-renowned wine regions including Rutherglen, Milawa, Beechworth to name a few. These are interspersed with great providers of gourmet cheeses, yoghurts and breweries tempting the ravenous cyclist. Throw in some beautiful cycling routes and the famous AllTrails service and you have the recipe for a truly wonderful cycling trip.
