We’re off to Italy to enjoy the Prosecco on a classic Italian journey from East to West. This time we’re mixing things up. Europe’s culture cup overflows with picturesque villages, old towns, cathedrals, museums, galleries, wine, food and shopping opportunities. So, let’s slow the pace a little and take the time to fully enjoy the journey as a slow traveller. We’ve cut the kilometres, ensuring you’ll have the time to really explore each region and town.

Passeggiata means a stroll, but to the Italians it’s much more meaningful than simply walking. It’s an important social ritual for connecting and building community. Together, we’ll cycle “stroll” our way across this beautiful region and enjoy leisurely afternoons followed by long golden sunsets and warm evenings indulging in the wines and deliciously fresh Italian cuisine.

We’ll travel across the country starting in the foothills of the Alps, looping through the Prosecco region brimming with lush vineyards, rolling hills, river valleys and medieval towns. Then we begin to cross the country via Emilia-Romagna, where we’ll enjoy a rest day in Ferrara. This region produces some of Italy’s most famous foods including Parmigiano Reggiano, prosciutto di Parma and balsamic vinegar; buon appetito! From here we move into Tuscany including a rest day in Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance, cycle to the leaning tower of Pisa and finish in the stunning town of Lucca. Flying into Venice and departing options from Pisa, Florence, Bologna or Rome, you have excellent opportunities to extend your trip at either end.

Daily distances are kept at a pleasant 57 km/day average, allowing plenty of time to pause for as many moments as you desire to take in the beauty.

This tour is one not to be missed if you are keen to cycle in Europe’s 2026 summer - all with the confidence that comes with booking with an Australian-based tour company.

Why we love it (and we think you will too)

• Cycling the Prosecco region’s roads – past historic castles, quaint villages and beautiful vineyards. And of course while we are here, we will have plenty of time to stop and test out a few local drops for which the region is famous.

• Tuscany – even just hearing the name conjures up visions of beautiful landscapes, cypress-lined roads, sunflower fields, and historic hilltop towns. It’s even better in person, and even better on a bike - you’re in for a treat.

• Emilia-Romagna is not as world-renowned as Tuscany but that is one of the reasons we are looking forward to it. The region is ideal for food lovers, history buffs, those who love historical architecture, and luxury car enthusiasts (home to brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Ducati). If you are not familiar with this region now, you will be by the time you leave the tour, and you will be very happy about it.

• The stunning city of Lucca may not be on your ‘to do’ list, but will definitely be on your ‘glad I did it’ list after the tour.

• Guided walk and visit of UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ferrara.
• Florence rest day and guided walk.
• Visit to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
• Easy start and finish points near Venice and Bologna, Florence, Rome.
• AllTrails Australian owners on tour with you.
• Wonderful local bilingual guides

OPTIONALS: Climb the Leaning Tower, visit Michaelangelo’s ‘David’.
